Spring meeting - 2010

The Perth and Kinross County Spring Meeting was played on Sunday 9th May at Dunkeld and Birnam Golf Club. The Weather was kind; the players enjoying sunshine, light breezes, a course in excellent order, a warm welcome and fabulous catering.

The best scratch round of the day was produced by county six-man-team player, Scott Michie of Kinross with a 66. Auchterarder’s Philip Scott carded a fine 69 with Chris Barr of Craigie Hill just behind on 70.

Local player, Peter Russell, picked up the best nett prize in the low section with a 64 while another local, credit card wielding Paul Smith, was swiped through with a pin number of 63 in the high section.

68 players attended on the day out of an earlier expected 80. These were supplied by twelve of the county’s forty-two clubs. The CSS was 69.
